Upgrade on the Beacon chain is named after stars. The Ethereum community picks the name in the online forum (Eth Magicians), and the name is finalized after the voting process. Star names are picked in ascending order. The very first upgrade was called Altair, followed by Bellatrix and now superseded by Capella.
What is Capella
Capella is the sixth brightest star in the night sky. The scientific name is Alpha Aurigae. In Latin, it is called nanny goat/she-goat. It is the brightest star point in the constellation Auriga the Charioteer. Capella's star pattern is a winter hexagon.

CAPELLA UPGRADE SPECIFICATIONS
Ethereum community's most anticipated feature post-merge is Withdrawals. In this Upgrade, withdrawals are included. It allows stakers to finally recover their staked Ether and rewards from the beacon chain to the normal Ethereum address.
Two Withdrawal mechanisms are planned:
A) Exited and withdrawable validators will have their full balances automatically transferred to their ETH address.
B) Excess balances from active validators will be regularly swept into their withdrawal addresses.
Validators need to update their withdrawal credentials from 0x00 to 0x01. The Engine API will be modified to allow withdrawal data to be channelled from consensus client to execution client. Then the execution client will credit the user's account accordingly.
